Daianji - Bambo Sake Festival

This festival is for cancer survivors
People come to pray so they can stop progression of disease or stay cancer free
I went therefor my dad

Lots of food vendors

Mochi

Girls with Sake

This sake supposed to be good luck

You pay about $5 for this cup
all you can drink!

Meantime, I found a section raising awareness and money for Fukushima Earthquake
This wood is from Fukushima
With $10 donation, they were letting everyone carve a little to make a goddess
They go all over Japan so everyone has chance to carve
When it's done, it will go back to Fukushima

They gave me a pouch so I can save the chip

The professional just place a spot, and I just have to hit

things we do when you are in Temple

clean hands

light a candle and incense

This is special for today
Monks giving prayer to each visitors for better health

so many people from all over Japan
