It was pouring rain... but this antique market is only 2nd and 21st of month, so I had to pursue my mom to drive me to Kyoto.
Toji temple market. People come shop from all over the world

Things that you will find in the market, but not all came because of the rain
Imari dishes

my favorite... I wasn't gonna buy it... but... I got one...

My mom couldn't find a parking lot. Also, dealers were leaving, so we left too.
Next was something we found out on TV. To the Mitarashi festival!
This is on the way to Shrine. This is Kyoto University. Very nice campus.

Mitarashi Festival in Shimogamo Shrine

about $2, you get one of this for offering
I was in typical festival attire, but I am going to.....

Here. This water comes from the spring behind this shrine. People believe that this water helps to cleanse your body and mind.

Pretty cold water

After you "cleanse" your body, you drink the spring water

Praying for my family's good health

さざれ石
the stone that is in national anthem

This is very typical Japanese sweet. This was originated in this shrine.

Now, I am happy. Did everything I wanted to do today :)
