When I finally got to my grand mom's house in the afternoon, it was all cleaned up. so I just watched TV with grand mom :)
She gave me Okra to eat for dinner. I had to get something to eat for my family.
I just bought what I want to eat.
The big Nigiri pack is for my dad. He only eats little bit of good stuff. I had extra tuna Maki, shiso gyoza, and Octopus ball which is the most famous local food in Osaka... my favorite too!
The the big Sushi pack was about $8 for all. little nigiri was about $4 each, but 10% off since it was made in the morning and not really "fresh" anymore. Octopus ball was $3. 15 pieces of Gyoza was $4. HOW CHEAP!
This is my Dad's. I will eat the left over :)
Mine and mom's
Here is Okra from my grandmom's garden.
boiled them in fish stock, then chop, and mix with soy sauce.
shaved bonito on top usually, but I couldn't find it.
I bought the traditional "Bottled Beer"
It is about the size of wine bottle (750 ml)
We used to buy this in dozen from the liquor store and recycle the bottle.
Now, it's mostly in cans
