Hello from Japan: 09/16/10

This year, my mom is 60. I had to go home and celebrate!

The first stop was Minneapolis then to Seattle.

on the way to Seattle, I saw beautiful mountains! almost looks like Alps!

checking the exchange rates. VERY discouraging... I need to make money in Japan and bring it back...

I can kill my time easily here... but just looking

So, we we were moving and getting ready to take off. Plane accelerating and almost lifted, but all the sudden they braked so hard and U-turned!!! We all new something was up.

We stopped in the middle of the airport and lots of people started to come in... I was scared.

The "tower" told pilot to stop due to some problems they saw. The "people" could't figure out what was wrong first. We had to stay in about an hour for them to figure out. Then, they decided to re-fuel the plane before we take off again... That's when the gas started leak from the wing!!! Someone later told me that some passenger saw it when we first took off... Thank goodness they stopped us! Because of the fire hazard now, they taxied back to gate so we can evacuate.

They haven't told whether we take this to Japan or get a new plane... Please give us the new one...

well, they issued us the $6 lunch voucher... so I got what I needed. The bartender was nice to give me extra that was in the shaker... but I found out the voucher was not good for drinks. So, I decided to go to downstairs (even though they told us to stay in the gate) get something local

I saw this place in the travel book last time I was in Seattle. Famous for fish and chips

They were GOOD stuff :D

Still fixing. Are we going with this plane??? worried...

After waiting for 5 hours, we finally got back into the same plane... We didn't like the idea, but that's the way it is... then we find out that flight attendances' work hours have expired. So, we had to wait for the new sets of crews... then, we were told pilots' work hours will expire in 30 minutes... Well, Pilots stayed for us so we don't have to wait for new pilots until next day. Meantime, the mechanics found out that the tire needs to be changed. We had to wait another 1 hour before we really took off... What a day...

This is the dinner... Asian style beef according to the menu...

Meat and potato... So, where "Asian Style" come from?
