interview day with American Cousulate

I had 8:30am appointment with consulate today, so I got up early and got ready.
This is my breakfast. Yes. I am spoiled.

Train ride... not so fun...

The girl on the right side is from my high school.
That's the uniform I had to wear in the summer

Not too bad yet

Picking up more...

Subway. Now, this is really bad... HOTTTTttt...

Japan Communist party is preaching something to the commuter.
The big building in the back is Osaka city hall.

There is no pictures from the consulate because the police stopped me when I tried to take pictures. Also, I had to leave my camera inside of the building.

I did pass the interview and getting the visa next week. So, I will be back to work on time!

Coca-cola vending machine. SO MANY CHOICES.

My favorite department store

Too early to shop (stores weren't open yet) so coffee break
This bagel is called "ice bagel"

becasue there is ice cream inside! they toast outside too. It was pretty good.

Lunch time. My favorite "Akashiyaki" - soft egg octopus ball!

Put in the fish base soup with 7 chili paper spice

inside is a piece of octopus leg. DELISH!

Mr. Donuts was on sale!

My town has bunch of grape farms. This is the typical one we eat.
It is like a champagne grape. Can’t eat the skin. Taste SO GOOD!

My gorgeous dinner that I didn't have to cook. Of course, it is Japanese beef that is so tender!

七夕の日 - tanabata

Today is Tanabata-day. I won’t go to the detail, but what people do is, they write wishes and hang it on the bamboo tree

Today, I had my hair appointment. It took 2 hours and that's normal in Japan.

Book store was across. until my mom picks me up (she was in flower arrangement class), I killed time there. These magazines are fashion magazines for 20's and 30's. On the other side, there are magazines for kindergarten age, grammar school age, up to retired age people. Manga (Anime/cartoon) books are the same way. Magazines and Manga take up most of the bookstore

I went to see my other close family and they welcome me with fresh tomato and cucumber from their garden. Taste so good!

My grandmom. she is smaller than I remember... and yes, Roxie, we had your cake. We all loved it!!!

My grandmom and aunt gave us potatoes to take. They grow 3 different kinds

Going grocery shopping. Check out what they sell in McDonald's. "Milk tea Mcflurry" AND, Ron, Clinton Courier made it to Japan!

How beautiful

This is the reason I go home
